Local SEO Marketing | Bad Advise Costs You Lead Generation

A recent post about a successful $11M Content Marketing campaign and the 9 lessons we should learn from it set me off.

I’m accustomed to seeing experts who give advice that is not effective for smaller businesses, but this article is a bit over the top.

If you have $11M to spend, the advise is surely sound and valid, but that doesn’t help you, and that’s what matters.

6) Get Your Creative Right (People Need to Love Your Marketing)

Again, if you have a massive budget and can afford the perfect piece of marketing content, go for it. On the other hand, if your a normal guy running a small business and you know what you want to say and who you want to say it to, start generating content. It’s not going to perfect, but it’s a place to start. The best time to start is last year. If by chance you didn’t, the next best time to start is now.

7) Spend More on Outreach Than You Are Spending on Content Creation

Once again, maybe for a big brand with a massive budget. For a small business, NO! NO! a thousand times NO! Start generating content, update your website every day, and keep doing it until the search engines bring you your audience.
