The most effective search engine optimization tactic by businesses

How to get the most search engine traffic on your landing pages

Businesses use landing pages to convert website visitors into leads. But it is important to understand that landing pages alone don’t generate businesses.

Landing pages must focus visitors’ attention on an offer which the visitor receives in exchange for their contact information.

It is important to remember that the fewer options a visitor has on the landing page, the higher the conversion rate.

So how do you drive free search engine traffic to your landing pages?

There are a variety of ways, including paid advertising, but our focus in on attracting visitors through search engine optimization.

Understanding that the goal of the landing page is to convert visitors into leads, the goal of the entire rest of the website is to get visitors to the landing page. You do this through well placed call to action buttons in your blog posts and in some of your static web pages.

You attract organic search traffic primarily through your blog, but you should not neglect your static web pages and the landing pages themselves.

On-page SEO is primarily about making sure your website pages and posts are properly formatted for SEO, and the SEO meta data is set well. The most important aspects of the SEO meta data is the post title, the post secondary title, and the SEO meta description.

Focus on your title tag and meta tag description

The SEO title helps your page/post show up in Search Engine Result Pages (SERPs) and directly provides a benefit to your SEO.

The SEO meta description does not help your page show up in the SERP, but rather is written for people who see it in the SERP. It helps your page get chosen over other pages displayed in the same SERP.

Mobile optimized landing page

Mobile is just simply a given these days. If your site is not optimized for mobile devices, you’re missing out and don’t know it. Not only are more Google searches performed on phones and tablets than in browsers on desktops and laptops, but Google is creating a mobile only search index.
