How to increase engagements using social media for small businesses

How to earn social media engagements with your small business audience

Every small business owner who invests in Social media marketing wants more likes and shares on what they post on social media.

The main point of social media is to expose your business to as many prospects as possible.

So how do you get share on your social media post? A few ways are discussed below

Use social media to connect

Social media is designed in a way that makes it a 2 way traffic platform. Don’t just talk. Listen carefully on what your audience comments on your posts and find out their concerns.

If they are talking about your business, interact with them. Some of them will become customers, you’re just not sure which ones.

Provide photos and videos to your customers

Did you know that social media post tend to be more interactive when you attach a video or an image? This can be your product pictures or videos providing some training on how to use your product.

This is especially effective when the image or videos are not generic but are specific to how your products or services help solve problems.

Give Discounts

We like discounts. Experiment with your followers.

Provide Recognition

Recognize them when they share your post. It has been demonstrated that social media feedback causes us to give ourselves a little shot of dopamine (which makes us feel good).

This helps your followers want to be engaged with you.

Include a Call to Action

Include some call to action buttons on your social media post. Remember to use words that are positive (avoid words such as “no”, “not”, “don’t”, etc).

Create a short call to action that is creative and encourages your customers to click on a link or download an eBook.
