How to create content that matters to your customers

A substantial volume of content is needed in today’s online marketing for small businesses. This means that what content you create, and how you create it matters.

For your small business, your content is more important today than ever before.

But… rather than a comprehensive exercise, let me take you through steps of creating substantive content that will  people to your website who have an interest in the topic that your product or service helps with.

Small business online marketing starts with understanding your customers.

But instead of a deep research on your customers, for content marketing strategy ask your target customers questions about general information, and provide content that provides the answers to the questions your target audience has asked.

Divide your content into section. Primary and secondary

For your small business, it is important to divide your audience into 2 sections. The primary audience and the secondary audience.

Provide primary and secondary content for each of your primary and secondary audiences with articles that are helpful.

Start by providing primary content using terms that your customers might have used to search in the search engines.

Therefore in your primary content you need to be very clear, concise and consistent so that your audience understands what you provide and how it solves their problem.

Secondary content is what you provide to nurture your customers. This kind of content is very important to your small business as it will give your customers a reason to still do business with you.

One thing you need to remember is that you must provide a variety of content on your website to both get the attention of the search engines, and to build up a repository of content that speaks to various issues your prospects have.
