How to create calls-to-action that are persuasive for businesses

Why are calls to action so important?

Are you wondering why your content marketing efforts fail to meet your needs?

Are you satisfied with the rate at which your website converts visitors into leads?

If your answer is NO then that’s an indication that you need to focus more on your conversion strategy, which is implemented with well placed Calls to Action.

When your audience reads your content, they need to know what you want them to do next. Publishing good content is required but you cannot “just” rely on the content to turn visitors into leads.

Your readers need to be nudged with clearly defined calls-to-action. Call to action buttons are for your audience to provide their name and email address in return for a downloadable resource, such as an eBook, or maybe access to a video.

The following are some tips for creating calls-to-action that are persuasive.

A landing page is the page on your website whose purpose is to obtain visitor contact information in exchange for something they value.  Many small business owners assume that because a visitor has landed on a landing page, then conversion is an automatic thing.

It’s not.

Remember to keep the language on your landing page consistent with that of the call-to-action that brought your visitors there.

Make the benefits of your call to action open

You can’t just tell your audience to do something without giving them a good reason to do so. If you want your readers to subscribe to your newsletter, give them a reason for doing so. If you want them to download your eBook, tell them what they get from reading the eBook.

Give room for comments and feedback

Encourage your readers to leave feedback in your blog’s comment section. This keeps them engaged with you and the fact that they are engaged with you improves your sites SEO.

Place your call to action button at a strategic point in your post to help you improve it’s impact on the success of your content marketing strategy.

Remember that calls to action when used effectively convert landing page visitors into leads.
