How to capitalize on every content distribution channel

Never think that your job is done after you press publish on a blog post.

In takes time to grow the search ranking of your site so people arrive in volume via organic traffic (via search queries). In the meantime there is a need to promote your great content, after you create it.

What is the importance of content distribution? As much as creating great content matters, it is also important to get your content in front of as many eyeballs as you can.

They say that content is the king but every king needs support. Part of growing your SEO is the promotion of content.

To give your content visibility, you must be willing to invest your time and energy into content distribution across multiple channels.

So how do you capitalize in distributing your content?

The 1st step is to identify which distribution channels are likely to work best for you.

The key here is to understand who you’re writing for, and where they’re likely to hang out online. What media sites they follow, what social media groups they take part in, etc.

For example, to appeal to people with an interest in personal finance and investing, you should consider The Motley Fool discussion boards, finance and investing groups in Facebook and Google+, and potentially other investor forums on the web.

On the other hand, to appeal to people who own dogs, you look for dog specific discussion forums and social media groups.

Then you increase the reach of your content through a comprehensive AND CONSISTENT social media strategy on your social media accounts which includes the niche discussion boards.

IMPORTANT: It’s important to PARTICIPATE, and not “just” promote your products or services.
