Commitment and the willingness to work at it is what separates those who are successful at attracting higher levels of website traffic and those who are not.

At the risk of sounding overly simplistic, the #1 reason people fail to achieve their goals is they quit trying.

This post gives an overview of what it takes to build and develop a website that attracts increasing levels of traffic that over time grows to where it sustains then grows your business.

What it Takes

Again, at the risk of being overly simplistic, growing website traffic takes publishing and networking.

The publishing aspect of this is no different from publishing anything else, be it a daily newspaper, a magazine focused on a specific interest (dogs, home repair, hiking, etc), or a TV show. You generate and publish content (articles, stories, videos, etc) of interest to your desired audience. I’ll talk a little more later about what it takes to be successful with publishing to a website.

The networking aspect of this is no different from other forms of networking you do to grow your business, but it’s done mostly online with the desire of attracting other people to link to pages on your website.
