Generate More Leads with Business Blogging than with Twitter

When most people think of Social Media Marketing they think of posting updates to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.

There are a lot of reasons why this is not nearly as effective at lead generation than business blogging.

I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase Inbound Marketing at some point. Inbound Marketing is nothing more than Blogging for Business. provides Local SEO Marketing training, consulting, and implementation.

One very significant reason why social media networking websites are only marginally effective at generating business leads is the more connected you are, the less you see and the less you are seen.

Let us imagine for an example that you follow one person on twitter. Unless they post constantly you can probably manage to keep up with everything they post.

On the other hand, let us imagine you follow 1,000 people on twitter. No one can keep up with the twitter output of 1,000 people, but not to worry. Twitter will eliminate some of your incoming tweets to make sure you can keep up.

However this means that much of what gets tweeted does not get seen.

I’ve read that on average, for any given tweet, it is seen by 1% of the people who follow the tweeter. This means that if you want to ensure that everyone who follows you sees all your tweets, you need to send out the identical tweet 100 times.

Do yourself a favor, and start a business blog.

Do you need more of these people to show up at your website?

Yes, I want more leads
