As much as Content Marketing is significant to businesses, it can sometime be frustrating.

Content marketing can feel time consuming and costly. But content marketing does work.

When you have a solid content marketing you create your brand awareness AND generate leads.

So how do you get the most of your content marketing efforts? A solid strategy is where you start, but is not enough.

To generate the right results. you must add the day to day tactical activities needed to make it work.

The following are some of the content marketing tips to get the most out of your campaign.

Produce quality content

 

What does Google mean by “Quality”? Unknown to most people, Google hires humans who rate the quality of websites. These people are provided a 157 page instruction manual which explains in great detail how Google defines webpage quality.

We strongly recommend everyone who does SEO in any capacity be familiar with this document.

Have a strong distribution and promotion strategy

What does “distribution and promotion” mean when it comes to website content?

It means to expose your content to as many eyeballs as possible through social media platforms and email.

But be careful not to overdo it.

Identify the channels that your audience uses and how they use them. Then you need to participate in those channels, not just post updates. You need to comment upon interesting posts created by others, and respond to comments on your posts.

Repurpose content that worked in the past

For busy marketers, it can be hard to find time to create content on brand new ideas every day.

Take some time and identify topics and pieces that worked well for your brand in the past, update them and start promoting them again.

Your update can be a literal update of the same post, or it can be a new post that provides a different perspective on the topic, or it can be a new post in a different format (a blog post becomes a short video or visa versa).

When content marketing is done right, it is a particularly effective way to generate both brand awareness for your products, and leads for your business.
