Words to use in your button

Conversion rate optimization for small businesses is not just about optimizing web pages. Conversion rate optimization is about optimizing the decisions your website visitors make while on your site.

Call-to-action buttons have major impact on the decisions of your prospect to either click or not.

Therefore, when trying to optimize your web pages, think about optimizing your Call to action buttons use  words that simplify the decision making process of your potential customers, e.g. Instead of using “your” use “my”, instead of using “can” use “do”.

Color of your buttons

While there is ample discussion on what colors work best in terms of attracting conversions, there is no discussion on the fact that the CTA button should be visually obvious.

If your blog post is black text on a white background, your CTA button should be bright something. It should be impossible to miss.

Therefore make your button stand out from the rest of your page in a way that it’s easy to be identified.

Value of your CTA

The content you use in your buttons is what helps your prospects to make the final decision. Use words the imply a promise and speak to value.

Tell them what you’ll give them and clear language.

The more value you can convey through your button content, the higher the rate of conversion. .
