How to use webinar for high quality lead generation

Best practices on how to maximize the values of your webinars

Webinars are one of the most cost-effective small business online marketing tools any small business can use. Webinars for small businesses are great lost cost way to generate high quality leads.

The most common keys to a successful webinar is scripting your presentation well, using a good webinar platform (I like Webinarjam), and promoting your event and practicing both your webinar presentation and the technology.

But even by scripting your presentation well and making sure everything is in place, your webinar may still fail.

The following are some of the reasons….

Over promising without delivering

By promising to teach something very new to your audience on how to solve a certain problem, your webinar may probably get high number of registration, but

Do not over promise and under deliver

Give your audience exactly what they signed up for.

If you stated that your webinar will last for 45 minutes please stick to that because if you end your webinar 25 minutes early or run 10 minutes over you turn off prospective customers. People are busy and some of us schedule our time tightly.

Focussing on Just a Product or small business

There is no problem with talking about your small business, but the webinar is not about you. It’s about the participants. You must be very careful on how and when you talk about yourself and it should be in the context of how you can help them solve their issues..

When your audience realizes that your presentation is just a pitch for a product they will drop out quickly. You’ve got to provide something they feel is of value.

Therefore, don’t entice people into your event only to discuss about the benefits of your small business or your product or your service.

To re-emphasize (because this is important), your presentation be focused on trying to help your audience learn something new or solve a problem.

For small businesses, the most significant thing to understand when it comes to webinars is that webinars are about the audience and not your business or product.
