Hello.

I’m Kevin Carney of Inbound Marketing University.

Today’s Inbound Marketing Minute focuses on the importance of consistency and persistence to the success of your Inbound Marketing efforts.

The four key success factors to being found online through organic search are: Quantity, which is how much stuff have you published. Quality, how good is the stuff that you’ve published both from an SEO perspective in terms of formatting and from a…. uh of interest to people perspective. Consistency is the third success factor and that’s how often do you publish. And longevity, which is for how long have you been publishing.

And this is true of blog posts you publish through your website, little videos such as this one that you make and publish to YouTube and your website, and efforts you expend guest posting for other people on their websites.

One of the key factors is staying in the game.

So again to recap, the four critical success factors are quantity, quality, consistency, and longevity.

And the way you improve at them is simply to do them.

Publish something every day. Ideally publish two posts every day.

They don’t have to be long, they do have to be useful.

They do have to impart….. I was going to say actionable, but that’s not the right word. They do have to impart an interesting and useful perspective on things, actionable is better, but the key concept is useful.

And just keep doing that every day.

The way you get better at writing is to write.

Do some every day. Publish to your website every day. Publish to your YouTube channel every week, and write guest posts for others every month.

Through time that will drastically increase the rankings of your website for a variety of search terms and bring you business through your website.
