How do you know that its time you need a marketing automation tool?

How important is marketing automation to starter businesses?

Is marketing automation for startups a must have?

Yes.

Email marketing is one of the most important tools in  any marketing professional’s arsenal, when done well.

Email marketing campaigns can be created to send and receive messages, but as your number of prospects and customers grows, this process becomes complex. Automating these processes makes this managable.

When you start experiencing difficulties in managing lists, too many campaigns, customer relationship and contact issues, you need to consider moving to a marketing automation platform.

With marketing automation, you organize your email campaigns into “flows”. You then drop the contact into the appropriate flow. Lead nurturing flows for prospects, and customer engagement flows for customers.

The following are some reasons why you need to upgrade to marketing automation

Customers are tuning out email form letters. Marketing automation personalized the messages per what the person most recently did on your website and with the last email you sent them.

Individualized treatment

This provides personal treatment. Marketing automation has the ability to create a specific journey for each of your prospects and customers, based on how they respond (or don’t) to what you last sent them.

Lead nurturing

Marketing automation is great for nurturing contacts moving them closer to making the purchase.

Easy contact management

With marketing automation, you are able to create lists according to your user’s behaviors. The contacts can be separated according to specific actions they take and then added to different lists automatically.

With marketing automation, actions are taken at the right time.

The difference between email marketing and marketing automation is like the difference between cameras and cameras on drones. One does so much more than the other.

Right now I’m using the Email option $15/mo. That’s pretty much all I need right now and there’s some basic automation. Perhaps in the future, I’ll think about switching to something more advanced.
