Many businesses use a content marketing strategy to increase their traffic and conversions. One of the beautiful things about content marketing is it can be done very inexpensively, making it available to very small businesses.
With content marketing, both quality and quantity are valuable in your strategy but never allow yours self to be sucked into a conversion about quality VS quality. That’s a false choice. You need both.
To get your content strategy to the next level, make sure that every piece of content you create is of high quality. But what exactly is “high quality content”?
Quality content is content that is USEFUL.
Content that enables people to:
- Find something
- Learn something
- Do something
The quality of your content is determined by the extent to which it does one of the above.
This is not per me, this is per Google.
So how do you make the next step?
The following are some tips to use to take your strategy to the next level.
Blogs are not the only way when it comes to content creation. Think outside the box to take your content marketing strategy to the next level. Use other content formats like videos (which can be inexpensive), eBooks, infographics and email to push your marketing efforts.
Create content that focuses on solving problems, but also reflects on your product or service solve those problems. Take your time when creating your content.
Use images when creating your content. This offers high quality viewing with clear imagery. Don’t use images that don’t complement the content it is attached to.
In conclusion, having a content marketing plan is great. But many small businesses do not plan. Push your content strategy to the net level by creating a plan you can adhere to, then adhere to it.
