How can you develop a working content marketing strategy for your business?

How to go about effective content marketing strategy

Content marketing strategies have been around for nearly two decades and still quite a number of small business marketers don’t know how to structure their blog.

A blog should have a marketing structure that is interesting and engaging, while also being casual and personal.

What should your blog be like?

Your blog can (and should) be about anything that helps your clients. That needs to be your focusw.

You can also tell stories of your company or of your product. You can also use blogs to announce promotions and deals. The only thing you should not do is to talk about your needs above those of your prospects and customers.

How often do you have to write a post on your blog?

Blogs can be published as frequently as every 24 hours, 12 hours, or even 8 hours. In generally more is better so long as you don’t compromise quality.

Once you know how much you want to write, select the time of the day that you’re going to post on, and stick to it.

Consistency is really important to the search engine robots.

With content marketing, you need to have a plan

You must meet your publishing schedule. Remember consistency is key.

Having your blog posts written in advance matters. It means you can swap things around and still stay on track with your schedule.

With content marketing, when you have figured out what topics to write about and how frequently, it’s time to perform.

The steps are:

  • Define your topic
  • Create your headline
  • Create your outline
  • Fill in the paragraphs
  • Find an appropriate image
  • Fill in the SEO meta data for the post and the image

Having a structure that is straightforward works well for your writers, and hence for your audience.
